People always ask me, "Where do you get your inspiration from?" The answer is...Music! 🎧
They say the kind of music you listen to says a lot about you. I want to listen to music that makes me feel good, that fills my soul, and allows me to find truth in my life. For so long, I've used music to escape from reality, to let out my frustrations and inner sass through a song. And as tempting as it is, I realized a new personal aim I have with music is to actually listen. I want to be fully aware of what I am hearing and ask myself if a song is the kind of world and mindset I want to be in. Music is powerful my friends. Listen to it wisely and mindfully.
FEEL GOOD CLASSICS
💃These collection of songs will be like your best friend. You can go to these songs whether you are upset, tired, annoyed, or incredibly happy. They are meant to pump you up or ease away the pain. So close your eyes, smile, and say "Life's good." 😌
LIE DOWN MEDITATION
If I'm having a creativity block/mental breakdown, need guidance/inspiration, peace, etc., I always bring it up to the Lord in silent meditation. I simply lie down on my bed, turn on this playlist, and worship in the stillness. This is a perfect way to lead me into a time of prayer. 🙏✨
BUBBLE BATH INSPIRATION
🛀Don't even get me started on my obsession for taking baths. Taking a bath is my go-to place to get my life situated by clearing my headspace of all unnecessary stress to really focus on what's important. I bring a little moleskine with me to the tub so I can jot down and organize any ideas that spark. 📝💭No doubt, this is one of my favorite playlists to listen to!
🚕💨Something about sitting in one place while moving at 80mph still fascinates me. I'm not sure why, but a pumping chill beat reflects the smooth speed of driving for me. It keeps me calm enough so I won't get into any accidents. 😎
I'll be posting more compilations of my favorite songs throughout the year. I like to listen to a handful of amazing songs until my ears bleed and I decide I hate them and never want to hear them again.
